"Allah only intends to remove from you the impurity, O people of the household, and to purify you with a thorough purification"

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ
By the immense grace of Allah, a major historical publication on the Sadaaths (Thangals) of the Kerala region is now ready for release. This initiative is important as many people today lack clear knowledge about their relatives and family origins.

This comprehensive work aims to preserve and share this knowledge so that future generations can learn about the Thangals and Sadaaths. It documents the various kabeelas (lineages) of Sadaaths who migrated from regions such as Yemen and Hadhramaut, making it a valuable reference for years to come.

We humbly request everyone’s cooperation and support for this noble effort. May Allah grant us success in releasing this publication in the best possible manner. My sincere greetings to all.

Who are Ahlul Bayt?

Ahlul Bayt (أهل البيت) refers to the blessed family of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), including his descendants through Hazrat Fatima (رضي الله عنها) and Hazrat Ali (رضي الله عنه). Respected for their deep knowledge, spiritual leadership, and service to Islam, they have had a profound influence in various parts of the world, including Kerala.

Ahlul Bayt in Kerala – Historical Background

The descendants of Ahlul Bayt arrived in Kerala primarily through Arab traders and Islamic missionaries. Kerala, known for its centuries-old trade connections with the Arab world, became home to many Sayyid families who played a vital role in propagating Islam, establishing madrasas, and contributing to society.
